Description
This is a religious statue of Kamdhenu, which is made of Asthdhatu (a strong combination of eight sacred metals: gold, silver, copper, iron, lead, tin, mercury and zinc), and which is associated with plenty, good fortune and unity. Kamdhenu is a Hindu mythological cow of plenty, the deity major, who is the life-giver and mother to all desires and who personifies sustenance, wholesomeness and love to all.
The statue depicts the idol of Kamdhenu in the divine version with an elegant and graceful human-shaped face, with a beautiful crown and sophisticated jewellery. The shape of a cow symbolises innocence and nurturing power, and her wings are beautifully made, as well as the carvings she has on her back, which symbolise the greatness of the heavens. All its features, including the decorations on her breast and the feather-like carvings, are indicative of superb work and religious devotion.
Kamdhenu is considered to be the nature of all gods and goddesses. Idolising her will provide security, happiness, wealth, and spiritual elevation. She is considered the bestower of blessings, well-being and good luck, which is why her presence is propitious in residential places, offices and temples.
