Description

Being the god of riches and fortune and being revered as the treasurer of the gods (Yaksha Raja) and the protector of the North direction, Lord Kuber is worshipped as the god of fortune and wealth.
The idol depicts Kuber Ji in an elegant seated position with divine charisma and power. His strong but still composed face brings forth confidence and positivity. He holds a mace (gada) in one hand, which means protection and control of the wealth, and the other hand is Abhaya Mudra, giving the devotees blessings of wealth, security and spiritual development. His fat body appearance, with expensive jewellery and clothes, symbolises plenty and completeness of life.
A treasure pot (Nidhi Kalash) is lying next to him, which represents endless prosperity and riches. The carved crown, holy garments, and superb decorations illustrate the work of the talented craftsmen. The halo of divinity in the background of his head also points out his divine presence as the heavenly treasurer of the universe.
